This paper presents baseline information on the mosquito – vegetation – rock interaction on two of a series of hills between the towns of Iseyin and Okeiho within the derived savanna zone of southwestern Nigeria. The information provided could be of relevance in the understanding of mosquito biodiversity and the planning of an integrated control programme for mosquitoes.

The foraging habits of Apis mellifera adansonii was studied over a six-year period in the rainforest zone of southwestern Nigeria with a view to understanding their feeding behavior, food plants and seasonal habits for their proper management for pollination and honey production.
