You are welcome to the Natural History Museum. Established in 1971, it was the first of its kind in West Africa. It is made up of scientific sections like Botany, Geology, Zoology, Entomology, Paleontology, Archeology and Anthropology. There is a service section made up of Taxidermy and illustrators.

The museum has an attractive gallery where most of the important plant, animal, mineral and cultural materials are exhibited. in the gallery are exhibited lion diorama, ostrich, the largest bird species known, pythons, baboons, insects, fishes, different types of edible vegetables, birds and minerals.

one of the main functions of the museum is to serve as a repository of natural history objects. It is performing this function seriously with all intentions in that the museum can boast of having up to 1 million cultural and natural history objects at the present.
