MISSION STATEMENT
Activities of the Centre in Africa should result in the development and growth of capacities that will enable each of the
participating countries in Anglophone Africa to enhance its knowledge, understanding and experience in many aspects of space
science and technology.
Acquisition of these capacities should have a great impact on socio-economic development (including the preservation of the
environment) of these countries. The Centre will be an education and research institution, capable of high attainments in the
development and transmission of knowledge in all fields of space science and technology, hence it will offer the best possible
education, research and applications experience to its participants in all programmes.
The main goal of the Centre therefore will be the development of skills and knowledge of university educators, research and
applications scientists, and others through rigorous theory, research, applications, field exercises and pilot projects in those
aspects of space science and technology that can enhance socio-economic development in each country.
