Carnegie Corporation of New York City
Carnegie Corporation of New York is one of the major partners of Obafemi Awolowo University. The corporation has supported and financed gender related programmes, procurement of I.C.T. facilities, computerization of the University Library, computerization of Bursary procedures, the establishment of the Advancement Office, and training and re-training of University staff. It also supports entrepreneurial training for University undergraduates and procurement of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment to the Central Science Laboratory.
Bill and Melinda Gates Institute
The Partnership between the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) and Bill and Melinda Gates Institute of Population and Reproductive Health of the Johns Hopkins University (JHU), through the Bloomberg School of Public Health aims to contribute to an improved population and reproductive health situations in Nigeria. This has led to the establishment in the University of the first institution-based short certificate training course in adolescent health and development and the first Executive MPH programme.
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC)
The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) donated a mini assembly plant to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, which was built for the purpose of aiding large-scale computer assemblage by the Information Technology and Communication Unit (INTECU). The Assembly plant, which is the first of its kind in any Nigeria higher educational institution, has in stock cutting edge machinery for quick and efficient assembling of computer systems.
Petroleum Trust Development Fund
The Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to train Nigerians to qualify as graduates, professionals, technicians and craftsman in the fields of Engineering, Geology, Science and Management in the oil, gas and solid minerals in Nigeria. In line with this, the PTDF has donated N450 million to the Obafemi Awolowo University to upgrade facilities in the Department of Geology to meet international standards.

Welcome, this project was initiated in 2005 purposely to ensure that Great Ife remains the most beautiful University campus in Africa. Those who have supported this project since it was introduced, have been acknowledged and their names are written on the University Roll of Honour displayed at the floor “O” of the Administrative building.
