ADVANCEMENT OFFICE
The Units which constitute the Advancement Office are: Alumni Relations, Development/Fundraising and External Relations.
ALUMNI RELATIONS UNIT
Supports institutional development, raising friends, supporters, donors/investors, and deepening the influence and stature of the institution. The Alumni Relations Office ensures that the Institution maintains a healthy relationship with its core product, the Alumni, through providing services, organizing events and offering innovative means for the Alumni to continue to engage in the progress of the institution and keep abreast with development at the institution.
DEVELOPMENT/FUNDRAISING
Manages a range of processes that further the objectives of the Institutional Development Plan and its projects, ensures that high level donor/prospect research occurs, professional proposals are drafted, donor-cultivation is implemented, solicitation takes place in a professional manner, and all post grant stewardship and data-base requirements are met.
EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Serves the Institutions needs of image building through print, video and electronic communications, advertising and media relations.
THE OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY, ILE-IFE STRATEGIC PLAN

- Making the University less financially dependent on the Government without compromising the quality of education being given
