The Boarding house was introduced to
cater for students resident and non resident in Ile-Ife and Nigeria as a
whole. Parents should be ready to leave the care of their children with trust,
in the hands of the school authority for the Boarding House is home away
from home.
The following rules must be
strictly adhered to, by the boarding house students.
- Students must obey the
bell for rising, meals, siesta, prep and games. All activities must
be attended punctually.
- No visitor or day
student is to go near the hostel without permission
- Misbehavior in the
boarding house – quarrelling or fighting will attract instant
expulsion from the hostel
- No parent will be
allowed into the hostel except on visiting days
- Excessive provision,
cooked or uncooked food will not be allowed in the hostel
- No iron or boiling ring
is allowed. Ironing of school uniform and outing wear will be done
by a paid launderer.
- Parents should not ask
their children to attend ceremonies except for genuine reasons
- There should be no
fagging or bullying in the hostel. Bullying will attract expulsion
- Sick students should
report to the House master or mistress in charge
- Any student who has
been punished for serious offences in three times will be expelled
from the hostel
- Female students may
wear only small earrings. All girls must have their hairs braided or
cut low (No perming is allowed)
- Medium of expression is
in English Language. Vernacular speaking except in Yoruba class will
attract severe punishment.
- Students should ensure
that all their clothes and other important properties are clearly
marked with their names
- Handsets are not
allowed in the boarding house. If found, will be confiscated and may
not be returned to students or parents. Every boarder is expected to
leave parents’ contact telephone numbers with the housemasters or
mistresses. Students can receive calls from home through the
housemasters and mistresses. Boarding house telephone numbers will
be made available to parents.
- Any damage caused to
the properties of the school or to members of the school by the
boarding house students, will be charged into the account of parents
of the boarding house student(s)
responsible for the damage.
- If a child is on
special medication, such child must be handed over to the House
Master/Mistress.
- The Visiting day is
First Saturday of every month between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
- Pocket money will be
kept by the House Mistress/ House Master and a student cannot have
more than
N250 per week.
