Staff
The staff is committed to the pursuit of truth, intellectual honesty, openness to ideas and excellence through the attainment of the highest professional and ethical standards in teaching, learning, research and community service. They are also responsible, caring mentor in all dealings with our students and with each other.
The Department operates a student advisory system whereby each student is assigned to a staff adviser to advise and guide him/her throughout the duration of his/her course.
There are twenty-two academic members of staff in the different areas of Botanical Sciences in the Department. The Department undertakes teaching and research in the following areas of Botanical Sciences namely anatomy, morphology, cryptogams, ecology, genetics, physiology, taxonomy, biotechnology and ethnobotany.
