You are welcome to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, the premier Faculty of Pharmacy in Nigeria, established in 1962. The Faculty is well known for high academic excellence and rich and consistent research output, particularly in the area of Medicinal plants.

The Faculty runs a 5-year undergraduate programme that leads to the award of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) degree. The degree is unclassified although candidates with Grade Index of 4.1 and above are awarded Pass with Distinction. Postgraduate programmes MSc., M.Phil, Ph.D., are available in all the 5 academic departments (Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Administration, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology) and the Drug Research and Production Unit. The Faculty has provided manpower for younger faculties of Pharmacy in Nigeria and has also assisted in the establishment of most of these faculties.

The Faculty building, an architectural piece, is one of many that adorns our campus, which is adjudged the most beautiful campus in sub-Sahara Africa. The staff members and students are courteous and warmly disposed to visitors.
