Departmentin full capacity was the late Professor I.O. Odumosu. The present Acting Head of the

The Department remains the base of the highest number of Law subjects taught in the Faculty both at the

The Department of Public Law also remains the only centre for the coordination of Law elective courses which are made compulsory for all Students in the University with the exception of those in the Faculty of Law. These elective courses are:Introduction to Law(SEL001) and Introduction to Legal Institutions and Processes(SEL002). Equally, the Department is in charge of working out the Faculty Time-Table from the entire University Time-Table every semester. It is also important to note that some of the non-graduating and graduating results of Students in the Faculty are being processed every semester by the Department of Public Law. All academic members of staff in the Department are daily pulling their weight in terms of teaching, research, attending international conferences, publications, administrative duties and legal services to various administrative/disciplinary committees of the University.
