Academic programme

Statutorily, the department gives 2 hours of lecture per week throughout the duration of the clinical 1 programme. Students are also required to undertake two clinical postings in anatomic pathology before sitting the final pathology examinations. The first posting entails the holding of seminars and tutorial discussions in general pathology as well as autopsy demonstration. Students are required to submit a full report of an autopsy session attended by them as well as sit an essay-type end of posting test. The second posting entails seminars and tutorials in systemic pathology in addition to gross pathology demonstrations using museum pots and microscopic demonstrations on tissue sections.
