The Programme of the Department is designed to produce graduates who would contribute effectively to the development of a self-reliant economy and promote self-employment. it is concerned with the application of science and knowledge of all kinds to develop the individual, the family and the society.
Our programmes in the Department are well tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of the labour market as well as a growing body of budding entrepreneurs. The production of agricultural commodities to meet domestic and foreign market demand along with remunerative employment to our graduates have remained the central philosophy of the Faculty over the years. Our programmes have been evolving to cater for these changing needs.
