The Philosophy of the Department of Agricultural Economics is to train well-round graduates who can occupy several niches and function as job-creators and/or employees. The Department hopes to prepare graduates to meet the challenges of the new millenium.
Our programmes in the various departments are well tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of the labour market as well as a growing body of budding entrepreneurs. The production of agricultural commodities to meet domestic and foreign market demand along with remunerative employment to our graduates have remained the central philosophy of the Faculty over the years. Our programmes have been evolving to cater for these changing needs.
It is therefore my pleasure to invite you to explore our website for your benefit and information. Please feel free to the Head of Department on specific issues about our programmes, admission requirements, research, workshops, seminars and other things of academic interest.
