Service Programmes
This involves:
- Liaising with the Local, State or Federal Governments and assisting them to develop service and training programmes;
- Working with government and non-government organizations in the areas of health promotion and disease prevention;
- Initiating and sustaining outreach programmes in underserved areas
Training Programmes
The Institute is mandated to run programmes in the following areas: Seminars/Workshops/Conference on topical Public Health issues such for Primary Health Care Workers, Policy Makers and other cadres of health personnel.
Diploma Programmes in:
(a) Health Service Administration for Health Managers and Policy Makers.
(b) Occupational Health and Safely for Industrial health and safely
(c) Health System/Operations Research Methodology for Health Researchers and Policy (d) Health Education and Health Promotion for all cadres of Health workers
(e) Maternal and Child Health
(f) Community Health Nutrition; for health practitioners and others Oral Health Certificate Course
(h) Reproductive Health Service Delivery
(i) Adolescent & Youth Friendly Health Services
Major Activities
Research
- Modification and Improvement of Traditional Weaning Diets funded by the University Research Committee. Prof. E.O. Ojofeitimi is the Principal Investigator. It led to the productions of Groundnut and Cowpea milks. The Research findings had also been disseminated published and a copy sent to University Research Committee who funded the Research. (2000)
- Assessment of the Nutritional and Health Status of the elderly in Ife/Ijesha Area of Osun State . (Already completed). Dissemination of Research Finding done. The Principal Investigat.or is Prof. E. O. Ojofeitmj,(2001) .Funded by the University Research Committee.
