The Office of the Registrar is located on the 3rd floor of the multi-storey University Hall building, also referred to as the "Senate Building". The Registrar's Office is the nucleus of the Central Registry as well as the coordinating unit for all other organs of the University.
The Registrar is the coordinator, link and facilitator of all programmes and activities of the Directorates and Units in the Registry. As the custodian of the rules and regulations of the University, the Registrar ensures compliance to such rules and regulations by both staff and students and also offers advice to the appropriate authorities and organs concerned.
The Directors who are heads of the Directorates are responsible to the Registrar for the running of their Directorates and give reports of their activities at a bi-monthly meeting with the Registrar.
